Sad Puppy
Sad Puppy - $5, marker on paper, 9.5" x 6"

After a family wedding in Newark, Ohio, Lauren and I were ready to go home. We didn't realize it would take 14 hours to get there.

How much entertainment can one squeeze out of the SkyMall catalog and an in-flight magazine?

Good thing I brought my sketchbook.

(Email and RSS readers, visit www.ephemerratic.com to check out all the art for sale)

Below are the rest of my drawings inspired by the contents of my seat pocket and my own boredom. These drawings for sale at bargain price - $5 each or the whole set of 9 (or whatever is unsold) for $30. Send an email to me at:

with the title(s) of what you want and your mailing address. I'll reply with payment instructions. Price and availability is noted in each caption; price includes shipping. First come, first served.

To purchase the actual electric meat marinader, portable microwave, or bacon genie, you will have to do so directly through SkyMall which is not as entertaining as SkyMaul.

Toddy B. Can I use your Post Industrial Landscape in marketing materials? Does my $5 buy the rights? I do industrial real estate and it may be possible to incorporate your drawing into marketing brochures, etc. that my company uses. Is that too corporate for you?

I like the cactus, the dog, and the microwave bacon. But WTF? YOu dont microwave bacon. It is so easy to do it correctly.

Hi Josh, good to hear from you.
Yours is a good question.

While $5 buys the hard copy of a drawing, this does not included the copyright. All artists retain the copyright on their artwork whether or not the original has been sold.

The cost of printing rights for the artwork depends on the number of copies being printed and the nature of the usage.

Does your company buy real estate exclusively for factories that harvest puppy-dog tears?
No? It's probably not too corporate.
I'm not a sell-out, but I will entertain offers.
