• BootsnAll Travel - Resources for the independent traveler including a thorough list of round-the-world travel tips and high quality discussion forums.
• CouchSurfing - A social network of people seeking to create worldwide cross-cultural connections by making their couches available to travelers, and staying on strangers' couches during their own travels.
• Lonely Planet - This travel book publisher's site is a great first stop for basic information about all your possible destinations.
• Zicasso - A shiny new site that aims to ease the pain of trip planning. Lauren knows the founders and can vouch for their passion. The Wall Street Journal thinks they're pretty hot too.

• The Tranquilo Traveler by Joshua Berman - Award-winning author of the best books for traveling and living in Nicaragua. He's a writer, editor, trip leader and Todd's brother.
• Candy from Strangers: Traveling the World in Search of Sweets - Malena goes round the world, sucking up sugar and culture along the way. Malena, thanks for the "Where in the World" map inspiration!
• Randall Wood - About the nexus of travel, economic development, and technology with an enchanting tour of Morocco.
• Dan Goes East - We'll be eager to learn from cousin Dan's China adventures and hope to cross paths in Southeast Asia.
• Zac and Cara, "Why do you want to go to Turkey?" - We met this couple in Pamukkale and spent the day scrambling around the white travertines and Heiropolis with them. They were a great combination of adventure, foodie-ism, and goofy wit. Comment on their blog so they feel loved.

• Green Gizmo - Lauren's siblings, Brian and Mike, along with friends Adam and Biiiillllly work until 8 a.m. to make your company's website and product advertising look hot (the semi-dressed airbrushed models help).

• Taylor Made Coffee - Not only is it fair trade, organic and shade-grown, this coffee is made from "heirloom cultivars" on family farms and we buy it from at-risk teens at our locally-owned neighborhood pie shop. Yes, it makes our farts smell like rainbows.
