A little bit of everything – Lima, Peru photo essay

April 9, 2012 by Lauren in Peru, Photo Essays with 3 Comments

Lima, Peru rewards the observant wanderer. If you walk its streets with only your destination in mind, you may miss out on the moments happening all around you.

For all its energy and growth, at times Lima seemed like a still life, wearing a slow decay simply for the haphazard charm it imbues.

How come pigeon photos taken in other countries are more impressive than ones taken right here in NYC? Such a strange observation as an outsider when the exposure isn’t novel at all!

Ha! That’s totally true. I don’t think I’d ever try to take a photo of a pigeon moment at home.

Even in that moment, I had to keep reassuring myself that getting close enough to photograph the pigeons wasn’t entirely disgusting.

    It was.
